This is a piece of modern art (1942) mentioned by Bob Dylan on his latest radio show - the ‘Nighthawks’ painting by Edward Hopper is one of the most famous pieces of 20th century American art - Tom Waits later adapted the title for one of his early albums ‘Nighthawks at the Diner’

we got it cos me, my mum and my brother all read the novels by michael connelly about an LA detective called harry bosch, and in the book, this was harry's favourite pic. so when we went looking for something for the hall, we settled on this cos we like to relate to it! but who would you be in the picture, the couple chatting or the solitary man?
