From my Uncle Buck:

It was announced today that Buckwheat has converted to the Muslim faith and changed his name to Kareem of Wheat.

As soon as government goes back to work, he will be FBI and NSA-listed as a cereal killer!

Our ancient nemesis, the Glowing Orange Pumpkin of Doom, has returned! Jackson and I saw him today. Egads!

As it happens, I was looking through some journal archives this week, and I noticed the GOPoD made his reappearance on this same date back in 2010.

Once more, he is stalking us....

ME: "Life doesn't get any better than when we're hanging out together."

JACKSON: "We could have jet packs."

ME: "You're right. It could get better."

Doing the eulogy for Uncle Joe last weekend reminded me of a title my Aunt Mary Beth gave me a few years ago when I had to do eulogies for my great Uncle George, my Grandpa Bill, and my Grandma Verne, all within about 18 months of each other. She called me "the Family Eulogizer ( Read more... )

Working on a new song about Jackson. It'll be low and lonesome, like "Ghost Riders in the Sky." I'm calling it, "The Ballad of Twelve Kinds of Awesome."

Oh, great. As if I didn't have enough to worry about, Jackson warned me this morning about the Canadian Apocalypse. Kinda like the Zombie Apocalypse but with Canadians.
