Our ancient nemesis, the Glowing Orange Pumpkin of Doom, has returned! Jackson and I saw him today. Egads!

As it happens, I was looking through some journal archives this week, and I noticed the GOPoD made his reappearance on this same date back in 2010.

Once more, he is stalking us....

ME: "Life doesn't get any better than when we're hanging out together."

JACKSON: "We could have jet packs."

ME: "You're right. It could get better."

The kids and Heidi and I went to see The Lone Ranger this afternoon. It tried too hard to be cutesy. The last half hour or so was really good, but it literally took the original "Lone Ranger" theme song to really kick the movie into gear. Working on a new song about Jackson. It'll be low and lonesome, like "Ghost Riders in the Sky." I'm calling it, "The Ballad of Twelve Kinds of Awesome."

On Thursday afternoon, my Uncle Joe Wolcott died. He was just a couple weeks shy of his 95th birthday.
