Lone Ranger
The kids and Heidi and I went to see The Lone Ranger this afternoon. It tried too hard to be cutesy. The last half hour or so was really good, but it literally took the original "Lone Ranger" theme song to really kick the movie into gear. (I have to admit, much to my surprise, the theme song gave me goosebumps when it blared out--cool!) The guy who played the Lone Ranger was too much of a goofball for me to take him seriously as the hero once he actually became the Lone Ranger, and Johnny Depp as Tonto was little more than Captain Jack Sparrow with better teeth.
