Well, that wasn't fun, but it was ok. I have seen almost everything I own loaded into a cargo container on the back of a truck and will be living out of a suitcase for the next 4 weeks. Hopefully they didn't pack something that will leak or anything that will go mouldy. -

After the roof cleaning guy finished he charged me only $110 so we probably should have done it a while ago. He said that there was standing water in the gutters above the study and where the Foxtel satellite is, so that would help explain why the eaves are leaking. I have 72 hours to spring clean my house and pack clothes for 5 people for 4 weeks, less sleeping, school run and stressing out time. Last bath is Wednesday evening, last shower is Thursday morning.
Only current idea is to vacuum and mop at around midday Wednesday. Everything else is still up for grabs.
I need a plan!!! -

FYI packing up an non-airconditioned house in early summer with very high humidity reminds me of sitting in a sauna but with better visibility and moving around more. -

Yay for babywearing! In the 3rd episode of current season of The Amazing Race the lady meeting people on the mat with Phil was wearing her what looked like a 6 month old on her back. Of course this was in Africa where babywearing is considered normal, but yay for the camera and editing people for showing it! -

Tomorrow night I am going on an overnight date with my husband. We are going to escape from home around 3pm, drive about 10 minutes down the road to a 4.5 star hotel, catch a 5.20pm movie in Gold Class at the nearby cinema (the main reason we are only going 10 minutes away from home), go back to the hotel for the seafood buffet dinner at 8.30pm, ( Read more... )
