I also have a question for you concerning PotC 4. What do you think they will do with Blackbeard's character? Any plot/personality ideas? Are your thoughts influenced by the casting decision (check out imdb.com)? I'm curious what you think and I would love to see some drabbles or fics too. :)

> What do you think they will do with Blackbeard's character? Any plot/personality ideas? I'm entirely confident Ian McShane will do a good job with the role. He has the right stuff to play a growly, somewhat over-the-top villain, which is exactly what this franchise needs ( ... )

I guess it's a good thing I was late to the PotC Party then ^.^

I haven't been looking at much about PotC4 really, I'm happy that Teddy & Andy will be in it (despite still not having seen PotC1, for shame!), but I'm sad Cutler & James won't be, by the looks of it, which has sapped any excitement I may have had for the movie. Maybe I'll get more interested when they start showing some ads on TV.

I am sad Governor Swann died, and Beckett and Norrington, but I will still watch it, of course for Jack and Barbossa! I think Blackbeard will be fierce, but I'm not so sure about Penelope's character.

Rumor hath it she's a former love interest of Jack's who may or may not be working against him now, so Jack won't know whether he can trust her.

BTW: Depp and Cruz also co-starred in 1991's 'Blow', a biopic about cocaine smuggler George Jung. Perhaps this will help 'em to convey their 'former lover' status in OST.

I see Blackbeard as a flamboyant fiend who may not have a heart in general affairs, but might only display affection towards his daughter. Ian Mcshane is a good enough actor to portray some nice, juicy material at least.

I wonder if this will spell another trilogy. And what of Groves, and his role?
