About a week before I handed in my notice, I worked my first shift at the fourth store (same company) I'd worked in. I began thinking that maybe I didn't really want to quit, but I just needed a change of store.

I was wrong. My FIRST CUSTOMER that day pissed me off. She was elderly, and obviously a regular from the way she was talking with my coworker. I had the pleasure of serving her. I bagged up her stuff and asked for the money, holding my hand out. Of course, this was another of my ever-hated I-will-ignore-your-hand-and-put-my-money-on-the-counter people. So as she's coming towards the counter with the next coin, I move my hand under where she's heading too.

Her reaction?

She pushes my hand away and yells NO DON'T MAKE ME DO THAT!!!!!!!

She says "my hands don't work properly." What?!

So I make a point of struggling to pick up the coins (actually it wasn't that exaggerated). She LAUGHS at me, says "ohh you're struggling now." And leaves.

It was at that point that I decided yes, I really DO want to quit.
