Same here. She is such a liar. Due to some prescriptions I'm on, my hands shake and tremor pretty bad.. but personally, because of that, I find it's easier to do a hand-to-hand rather than trying to slide a fingernail under a coin on the counter. Maybe she's just a germophobe. Hrm.
That's a big difference to not working properly ;)
I feel your pain... I have arthritis in my hands and wrists (and other joints not pertinent to this comment) so in cold/wet weather I find it difficult to move my hands to actually grip. I once had to ask a cashier to take the appropriate amount of coins from the pile in my hand because my other one would just not work (but it was all bandaged and supported and stuffs) and she was great about it. So much easier to tip coins into their hands than the counter.
I wouldn't have been able to hold my tongue, and probably would have said "now that's the pot calling the kettle back, Miss My Hands Don't Work Properly....as if you're the only one with problems with your hands".
I'd have really had a hard time holding back, especially if I had turned in my notice.
I hadn't actually handed it in at that point. I was considering it. The "last straw" for lack of a better word would be just a little too off topic in this community, or I would rant and rant.
As for saying something to her, I could see her going off on a "young people these days..." sort of thing. And I really didn't want that. This job killed my emotional being.
