Ahaha so today I got assigned a paper about fictionalized historical accounts about art (I think I'm going to write about "The Fires of Pompeii"), and then I went to a lecture about the history of New Yorker cover art, and then I got assigned another paper about analyzing paintings as historical sources

Oh, I'm sure D: I'm sort of vaguely considering doing a coursework-based art history Master's, but 90% of my attitude towards grad school is still OH MY GOD WHY WOULD YOU EVER DDDDDDD:

I don't have much more to say about them at this time :( We just need to choose a historically set movie/novel/etc. about how people make or relate to art, and talk for at least three pages, about how it balances historical accuracy with entertainment value, and I figure if I write about "The Fires of Pompeii" I can easily wring out at least five pages about Roman decorative art, Roman religious art, abstraction in Roman art, decorative objects as status symbols in Roman homes, blah blah blah. I might post it to LJ when I finish, but it isn't due until May.
