I distrust anything that someone "got in their email" unless it comes with source citations, and even then, I distrust it until I can check such sources. Even if they contain the truth, it's not necessarily the full truth but rather a version of the truth the author has crafted either intentionally or unintentionally to suit their particular purpose or bias.
