I am posting that on my bulletin board of macros. Effective immediately.

I feel we should have a handy guide to comments. Give the ducks the macros, explain what they mean, and then we can write things like "Shaq is holding a panda" or "oh noes dis watr is wet" in the margins.

I have one more draft to comment on, and three who haven't sent drafts yet. Dear ducks - your final paper is due in a week. If you get no comments, your revisions are likely to suck. Sigh.

I think this plan would liven up the commentary process. However, I would just like to afix it to the paper and then say, "What, you didn't get it?" and then hold up the Tony!hand. For serious.

But seriously,one of these days I'm going to get punchy and write WTF in a margin, in pen. That's the number one reason I use pencil, you know...

I'm not even kidding. (This was on the "fear motivated all human kind through time and space" duckling.) I wrote "False - this is a massive generalization you can't defend in an essay." Dear ducks, it's hard for you to get a *wrong* answer - but rest assured that I'll let you know when you do.

Don't think I'll give that one to my practicum group, though.

*giggles* I made Awesome up a macro which read "SINGLE-SPACED ESSAYS: DO NOT WANT", last year. Sadly, she did not print it out and staple it to the first-years' essays. I feel this would have been quite a reasonable response...
