I've been reading more and more about the benefits of not shampooing:

What benefits do YOU see in YOUR hair from not shampooing?
How do you keep your hair from getting greasy?
Ever use conditioner?

Anything else you want to tell me about how you wash your hair?

TIA!

I don't wash my hair with shampoo really ever except if I think the build up is really bad. But I think I've done that all over once in who knows how long. So basically I don't shampoo... I'm not sure if I just have dry hair but I wash my hair about once every 3 days with conditioner following the curly girl method and it doesn't get greasy. That's about it. I use moose and a little gel.

None. I shampoo every 2 or 3 days because product buildup gives me some interesting scalp problems. And it gets really heavy and not curly at all if I don't shampoo occasionally.

How do you keep your hair from getting greasy?
I don't have this problem, luckily. My scalp produces absolute minimal oil. Nice for when I straighten it, bad for when I go natural.

Ever use conditioner?
Yes! I put it in at the end of my shower and don't rinse it.
My hair needs all the moisture it can get.

I wash my hair daily with no-poo (roots only), condition with one condition (everything but roots) & just put angell in my hair. I don't enjoy skipping on the shampoo cause otherwise my hair gets too heavy and gross to the touch.

I havent used shampoo in like 2 years.

Benefits: it shines more (It's really hell shiny: my bf tells me about it ALL the time), the curls behave better, less frizz, more deifnition and shape in my curls, the hair is softer, feels fuller and alive (I have the feeling that freshly shampooed hair feels dead).

Keeping it from getting greasy: I wash with conditionier without silicones. I wash more or less every day (sometimes I skip). Conditioner always does. My hair is never greasy.

Conditioner: Sure, it's my wash-wash.

Anything else: Sometimes I wash with a mixture of my conditioner and vinegar, for extra being sure that my hair is clean but I dont need to do this often. It's rather cuz Im paranoid about cleanness. I do it like once every 3 months. If I do this, I mix equal parts vinegar and conditioner, depending on how long my hair is and then I put my head upside down and comb the mixture with my fingers til everything is totally saturated. Then I wash it out.

I don't go full on no-poo but I have switched to SLS/paraben free shampoo - world.of.difference. I've also slowly been phasing out this shampoo. Now I can go 3 days without shampooing and it's not greasy. By day 4, it gets dicey :) On days 2&3, I usually wet it thoroughly in the shower and that's it.

Benefits from less shampooing - more volume and curl.
Avoid greasy - it took months of phasing to this regime, but I find my hair's okay if I don't put any product (at all) in it. I even water down the leave-in conditioner to deal with frizz and use it sparingly.
Conditioner - I condition my hair (ends only) 1x per week.

oh yeah, on my shampoo days, I use a white vinegar/water pre-rinse (1:1) and ACV/water conditioner rinse (2tbsps aCV:2 cups water) Really helps to deal with frizz. So, I can use less leave-in when I get out of the shower
