Hard water & new hair

Do any of you folks suffer from hard water woes like I? At school (where I shampoo more and generally am not very nice to my curls) my hair is much softer and shiny, but now that I'm home (where I shampoo less and have a huge routine) my curls feels soooo dry and frizz extra easy. I think your hair looks great, tbh. But I know curly-haired prejudice, I always straighten my hair for an interview, then shock them when I get the job with my normal curly hair, haha! Serves them right.

Have you thought about putting one of those headbands made of plastic, and look like they are made of combs? It could pull back the sides a little so it won't be in your face, then pull out a little for bangs. Or even pin back the sides with bobby pins?

I'm thinking of straightening the 'do if I go on any more interviews (though I'm not sure how that would look). I think people equate straight hair with safe and reliable. What a shame.

I think you are right, people always seem to think that curly hair == messy, unorganized.

The weirdest compliment I've gotten about my hair was, "I love your curly hair, it's gorgeous!" and then, "I wouldn't want it though, I'm glad I have straight hair."

I think it's really fantastic! Bobby pins and scarves/bandannas were in my hair daily when I had short hair. I bet you could find a few cute styles if you played around with those kinds of things for a few minutes. Not related, but I love your glasses!

do you think you post a picture of your face shape and maybe your hair when it's longer [if you have one]?

i've been debating getting my hair cut really short before i go away to college since i'm going to be so far
from my absolutely marvelous hair dresser [i love in north carolina and i'm going to college in scotland].
it kind of looks like we have similar face shapes and your hair looks kinda like mine.
