Do any of you folks suffer from hard water woes like I? At school (where I shampoo more and generally am not very nice to my curls) my hair is much softer and shiny, but now that I'm home (where I shampoo less and have a huge routine) my curls feels soooo dry and frizz extra easy. Could it be the water? I haven't switched products or that way I've been doing anything, just location.
It seems like everyone around here is getting it all lopped off, myself included. About two weeks ago I went in for a trim to take off the excessively dry bits (I was not expecting miracles, I know how bad flat irons and bleach were for my hair) but apparently the woman felt the need for me to start fresh.
I come in with...
Dry? sure...but it's the most length I've had in three years! Woohoo, it could be made to touch my shoulders!
I leave with...
This :/
It's way brighter than I expected her to colour it, and I'm pretty sure she chopped off almost all the bleach (except for the bits that you can SEE are noticeably lighter than the rest because, and I quote, the colour didn't take. (I have a lot of trust issues with hair cuts as I'm completely blind when they're happening, even though I tell my stylists that Hey, I can't see three feet in front of me, I really don't think they get it.)
It's kind of mullety and I can't put it in pigtails, so the only solution I've found is to make it REALLY REALLY big. My curls are really spastic and frizz super easy so I try my hardest to keep my hands out of it (Could my almost-fro be why I'm not getting hired at any of the places that interview me? Curly-haired prejudice, any thoughts?)
