I commented on spikesgirl58's journal that our Christmas baking is mainly cake based. I have made a lot of fruit loaves, gingerbread loaves, and brownies - but I have also made sweeties (mincepie fudge and rum truffles) traybakes - Grasmere Gingerbread, Festive Tiffin, and cookies including white chocolate and cranberry ones and chocolate ones. It has been a good Christmas. We were invited to lunch at the Nice Young Household, so no early morning food prep to do. I had coffee and shortbread for breakfast, and opened the blinds about 9.15 am to this!
