S2C and I went to have our covid boosters at lunch time. Moderna this time. Also known as Spikevax which amused me - do you think it helps make us immune to vampire attack, or do you think it was perfected by him

Hope the arms soreness soon goes. We had the same type of vaccine all three times - a few people I know have had a mix and match set which haven't given many issues.
So far so good - not even any pain in the arm... yet!
Almost all of us here under 70 will be mixing, as most of us had the AZ ones earlier in the year, but they are only using Pfizer of Moderna for the boosters. A friend in the over 70s group who had 3 Pfizers was poorly for a full 2 days and peaky for another 2 or 3 after that, so I am hoping the AZ/Moderna mix is much less fierce - but effective :)
So far I'm OK. The spot where I got the jab is a teeny bit tender, and my arm was getting a bit warm in the afternoon, but I put my cherry stone pillow to good use - having it in the freezer for an hour and then icing my arm with it for 15 minutes - so I hope nothing worse will come. *fingers crossed*
We should get our boosters next week. We had Pfizer originally and I suspect it will be Pfizer again. They don't get much Moderna vaccine here...in stock I mean. You had some lovely skies today! What was the saying for sailors?Red skies at morning, sailors take warning? I really must find some pink Marguerites!
I'm glad you will get yours soon, too. Our appointments are being sent out for exactly 6 months after our second one. Sadly not everyone is taking up their appointments - so look out for us ending up with restrictions again by Christmas.
I was happy to take whatever was on offer to be honest, but it looks as if mixing and matching is fine.
I love the sky at this time of year, even when it is in shades of grey, and yes - 'red sky in the morning, sailors' warning'.
The marguerites are wonderful, they just carrying on carrying on!
Since Pfizer was the one which bowed out so quicky I opted for Moderna again. A bit of soreness in the arm, that's all until now. I guess it will be the same as before- a bit of tiredness, some stiffness, that will be all ( hopefully). I hope it'll be the same for you! Good luck!
We don't get any option - the official opinion is that as they are equally effective you take what you get! But our Public Health department seem to think it is best to follow up the AZ with an mRNA one so we are all getting either Pfizer or Moderna as our booster. I am quite pleased today was a Moderna day as I think it has less side-effects than the Pfizer!
So far I am fine - it is about 10 hours since my jab and my arm is only a touch tender, otherwise I seem to be fine.
