I enjoyed the history lesson. It's not something I knew about. Bloody Scots, just as colonialist as the English!

I have had refreshers on the last of the Viking Kings, and the Scottish invasion, when D-d was covering that period with the Labyrinth group and then when I took NYK2 and her friend to the House of Mannannan last summer and they relished the tales of all the family members murdering each other!

I'm also just over a cold (just a badly running nose but did test anyway), and it's been a bit annoying as you're not supposed to go anywhere with any symptoms of a cold, despite masks being required everywhere in public, too; and I missed out on all the small bits of social life I'd recently regained (like choir practice, visiting with friends, and going to the cinema). But as I much prefer to not being exposed to anyobdy having a cold myself, at least not without a mask, it was allright. I just hope that we'll keep the social pressure for people to mask up when they have cold symptoms, but by what I'm already hearing from everywhere doesn't give me much hope. *sigh*
Thanks for sharing the video! That was most interesting, and I really love the style. Particularly interesting also insofar as I started to watch Vikings again a few days ago. I never made it beyond season 2 before and have just picked up there again.

Our Viking history is part of our culture, really, from place names to having been at school with members of a family who had a ship burial on their farm. I loved the style of this video, too - factual and well presented!
