Messy Church!

It was a warm, busy, day on the small island yesterday - there was a Pride Event in a park in Douglas, a Party Day in the park in Onchan - and it was our Messy Church day. I just think it's so lovely that Messy Church has started up again despite the lower numbers today. The frames are an especially beautiful idea.

A couple of the regular families messaged to say they were committed to one or another of the other things that were on, but were already looking forward to next time.

The frames worked really well - we got them in a sale, and the mirror tiles cost very little, too.

There is always this worry that nobody will come, but once they do it always turns out to be a fun afternoon for us as well as them.

As Lizzie commented it meant there was plenty of time to help them with things and chat, rather than the feeling that you needed to hurry them up a bit, so others could have a go, that you get when there are 20+ kids there.
