Nicely done. Even though I'm not really familiar with LotR, I had no trouble with these. I especially liked Gimli's.

Thank you. I'm especially glad you liked that one - I have always felt sorry for him when people haul him up onto their horses!

As one who was never fond of horses (though I had to spend quite an amount of time riding on a horse's back, because mum thought it appropriate) I especially love your Gimli drabble!

AARGH! LJ has stopped sending me notifications and it took me a while to notice. Sorry.

And thank you - I always feel sorry for him when he is forced to ride a full sized horse without any particular provision for his short legs.

Your writing is lovely. I just wish I knew what the hell it was about. I am Rings-deficient.

Still, beautifully written!

Thank you. This might help;

Hobbits go everywhere barefoot - their feet are proportionally large, and somewhat hairy.

Gimli is a dwarf - so very short in the leg. And more than once he is taken up onto someone's horse for speed.

Éomer is thrown into unexpected kingship on the death of uncle and cousin. His people live in the saddle, but took heavy losses in a battle many miles from their own lands.

Frodo lost both parents to drowning as a small boy.
