"Hey, kid," Joe answered, pretty much his default greeting for anyone under the age of twenty-five, then watched as Coraline got herself out of the tree, shaking his head the whole time. If he'd tried to drop out of a tree like that, he'd probably break all his fucking ribs or something.

"I'm good. Not the kinda good that ends up with me in trees, but good. You good?"

"Not a kid," Coraline automatically replied making a face at the word. It was almost as bad as Jake and now Sawyer calling her Cor. Cor. It wasn't even her name, it was a boy's name and definitely not her name at all. "That's because your old, if you were in a tree I'd worry about having to rescue you."

Coraline grinned cheekily at Joe before she beamed at the question. "I'm brilliant. Have you ever heard of someone called Justin Bieber? He's a musician. He writes really brilliant songs and he dances and he's just really, really... awesome."

"No," Joe answered slowly, afraid that this was going to turn into one of those days he'd never be able to forget, no matter how hard he tried. Especially if this Justin Bieber was the dorky looking thing whose face was on Coraline's shirt. And anyone who danced wasn't a fucking musician.

"Do I want to?" he asked carefully, knowing he probably had no choice.

"Well, you teach music right? So, yeah you should want to. So, you can tell everyone about him. He's really nice and he's got hair like this" Coraline said grinning as she brushed her hair infront of her face. Coraline bounced up and down on her toes as she shook her hair back into place. "I mean, he's much cooler than that band you know the one with the guy with the big lips. They're boring. And so uncool."
