So, I got the news today that the funding for my position here at CAPS will be depleted in September. That means I have about six months to land a job. So, the job hunt is ongoing. I wish there was something in the works that was a little more concrete, but there really is no end in sight here. I'm hoping to hear from Lotus soon, as they wanted to fill the position in early January, but we will see. It really depends on how fast they get things done. So, A while ago I applied to Lotus Cars for a position in the Engineering Training Scheme. Nothing came of it, and I figured they just didn't want to hire outside of the country. A few months pass. I think it went pretty well. The job is Technical Sales with Parker Hannifin, up in Cleveland. After talking with the guys, it sounds a lot more interesting that I thought it would be. It is sales, but there is a whole mess of tech kind of things to get into, and there really is a lot of engineering and problem solving that has to go into the job ( Read more... )

Off to Atlanta. Staff meeting on Saturday at 3, followed by the party, but the rest of the weekend is open. Sunday definitely is, as is Saturday before the meeting. If you want to meet up, gimme a call. Should be in Atlanta around 9-10 ish tonight.

So, I had in interview tomorrow. I get a call on my way into work this morning from Parker Hannifin Corp. to let me know that they are having to cancel the interview and reschedule, most likely to the 15/16 of December.
