Ugh, totally! I think the reason why it's so prevalent between the Panic!/Young Veins fans right now is that the split is still kind of... I don't know, sensitive? It's still sad, though, as a few weeks ago most people were totally in support of Panic, whatever they did.

Ahaha, the thing is that there's still some awesome people on the community, but the whole 'choosing sides' thing is making it even worse. ):

(I don't even get it!)

James Montgomery is a journalist for MTV that's been covering Ryan and Jon's progress through the development of their new band/Young Veins. But considering this is MTV, his coverage is obviously biased and seems rather unresearched and tends to put down Spencer and Brendon in favor of Ryan and Jon ( ... )

The split is still new and kind of fresh and the band has obviously been dealing with this long enough so they are able to get on with themselves and put their 'best' face forward ( ... )

Yeah, this has obviously been brewing for a while, it was just such a huge shock for everyone. I think they're all dealing with it better than they could be, especially with all the hate that's been directed towards Ryan and Jon, especially at the beginning. :/

Trueee. That place can be killer as soon as you hit the comments section.

Yeah, I'm just reading his articles off of patd. And yeah... that's the thing. It doesn't have to be a taking side issue, but it is. And you're right... it really doesn't make any sense. D ( ... )

I was never really big on music from the sixties, so I don't know how much I'm gonna like Ryan and Jon's 'Young Veins' stuff. But it makes me feel slightly happier that I prefer 'New Perspective' over 'Change' not because of any, like, bias or grudge, but because that sound is just not my thing. Never has been.

I appreciate the rusty sound quality if a song is actually from a time when it sounded like that, but when new bands do it, IDK. Not my favorite thing. I'd like to hear the song, you know?

I totally forgot about 'Oh Glory' though! OH RIGHT.

But I just like Brendon's voice more, in general, especially when he sings lower notes. *______________* That probably also affects my opinion. And I stay far far away from patd. chemicalromance is enough of a - a place that makes me >:(((( sooooo.

Well, I took a class in school before summer vacation that was about the politics of Rock&Roll, and over those nine weeks we covered the 50's-80's, so that definitely helped me appreciate that sort of music more. :/ Just in time, I guess? (Ugh, it's so weird to be referring to them as 'Young Veins'.) At this point in time, I do have to agree that I prefer New Perspective right now, but I guess I'll wait until they both release albums before I pass any real judgment. I just want to like them both equally, but when it comes down to it I'm not really sure.

Ryan's voice suits this style more, but the sound quality isn't helping it at all. The music drowns out the vocals, a little bit, so I totally know what you mean.

Ugh, yeah, I love Brendon's voice. *_______* Fever's what introduced me to Panic, so yeah. It's like... god forbid, if Fall Out Boy ever split and did the same thing, I think I'd automatically prefer whatever band Patrick was in because I love his voice so much.

(ee, sorry for my rambling. ): )

I love Jmont :(

And I still love everything those four boys do. I'd follow them everywhere, even if they'd create four different bands (but please don't do that lol)

But I'm not pleased about the fact that the same people will be running patd and young_veins, I don't like how patd is runned.

I... don't? D: To me, his articles seem really biased, and not just in a 'YOUNG VEINS IS AWESOMEEEE' kind of way, which I'd be fine with. It's putting down Brendon and Spencer I don't like. :/

I might not love everything these guys'll come up with in the upcoming weeks, or months, or even years. But as long as they don't do anything really stupid like homocide, I guess, I'll do my best to support them in whatever they choose to do. As long as they're happy making music they love, there will always be others happy for them (like you!), no matter what it looks like in certain niches of the internet. (Oh god, don't even say that! xD )

I don't really mind in that aspect, I think they do a good job of getting updates about the band to the fans. If it continues to do that, I'll continue following both communities. :/ I'm just hoping that that with two separate communities, the drama will dissipate somewhat, but then again I think I'm being hopefully optimistic with that thought.
