The split is still new and kind of fresh and the band has obviously been dealing with this long enough so they are able to get on with themselves and put their 'best' face forward.
I think most people are still kind of tore up about the split so they put their emotions into any new info/pic that comes up about them.
I really do think that with time most of the fandom will settle down. Yeah, patd does have some great people on it but right now I'm just avoiding things that pull me out of that slight happy place I exist in when I'm on the internet.
Yeah, well I've stopped listening to MTV a long time ago so I can feel fine in not reading JMont's stuff. Whatever. I really don't think this has to be a taking sides issue and I don't think it serves any side to diss the other because most of both sides initial fanbases came from the band with the four of them.
It is important for both bands to show that they are okay and functional, and it's good that they came out sounding different so the musical differences reason didn't come out sounding like bull.

I've been following MCR's blog and Muse is dropping soon and there are others too out there. What are you excited for?
Yeah, this has obviously been brewing for a while, it was just such a huge shock for everyone. I think they're all dealing with it better than they could be, especially with all the hate that's been directed towards Ryan and Jon, especially at the beginning. :/

Mmhm. I think so far they've been pretty successful, but I think maybe since I was so used to connecting all four of them in my head that now it's hard for me to... disconnect them and I think that's the way a lot of people feel.

Ooo. I'm most excited for MCR's, and also these two, of course. But I'm also really excited for Cobra Starship's new album and Greta's solo album, and I'm also looking forward to new Paramore stuff. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but I can't remember it for the life of me. o.O
Is Greta releasing her album this year? I know she's making music and I definitely want to hear what she comes out with. I'm into Cobra too, are you going to see them on tour?
I haven't heard any Paramore stuff yet. I know they announced their first single but I haven't heard it around yet.
Both bands have handled themselves rather well, I'm glad how mature all of them are mostly coming across. The two sounds are so different that they are completely different bands.
The band to me is still a foursome in my head and I liked them so much together. I still refer to the bands as Brendon & Spencer and Ryan&Jon and it will take time for me to think of them differently in my head. For fandom, I'm still into all four of them as much as I were before.
I actually have no idea? /o\ I just kind of assumed it was coming out fairly soon, as she's already given interviews about it and such. Also, I wish I could go to a Cobra concert, but it's highly unlikely. ): I've only been able to go to two concerts of bands I love, and that was simply because I had transport via friends.

Oh god, inorite? Good to know I'm not the only one. It's been weird typing 'Young Veins' today, and it's going to take forever to separate them mentally. I imagine with Brendon and Spencer it'll be somewhat easier, as they're keeping the name, with the only change being adding the original ! back. :/
The name change made me change my tags but I'm thinking now of using patd to refer to the fandom stuff like recs and stories and 'the young veins'/panic! at the disco when I refer to their music and pics of the actual people in the band. Or something. I'm not sure yet.
Cobra is coming near me but I can't go either. It's during a rough weekend and I'm not that fond of the opening acts, so IDK. Maybe. Though I really do want to see them live at least once.
