I am home from work today. Since 9:30 or so, the din of sirens and helicopters has been incessant. I went out for a quick errand to Pathmark and the police have completely shut down the street. Did I tell you how this group of like, one thousand protesters a few years back stormed a women's bathroom that had one of those old fashioned Victorian weight scales? They tore it out, took it outside and sledge hammered it to pieces or something to protest female body type issues or something.

Recently, a group of protesters also stormed the President's office on campus and chained themselves to his desk for a hunger strike or something. I would really have had fun with that. I would have TOTALLY been eating a huge pizza or something at my desk, chewing loudly.

Protesters are all part of a mob, ergo they have a mob mentality. The formula for figuring the IQ of a mob is something like ((p-b)/10)/10=IQ where p=people and b=booze. Thus a mob of 1000 people that had drank a total of 400 strawberry daquerris would have an IQ of 6. Which is logical as it's the victorian style scales that forced them to consume all that pizza, doughnuts, micky D's and strawberry daquerris. This of course only works for small mobs, as the theory of immprobability runs amok once they reach critical mass.
