Lots of stuff is going on!

Our new laser arrived. It's a 50 W fiber laser and is 1064 nm. It can make holes in things, though that is not what we will use it for.

It looks like we might buy a frequency comb. These things are pretty cool. I don't know the details of how they work, but essentially you put in ultrashort pulses of single wavelength

Good luck for your grading! Must be the time of year for it - Chan's is having the annual Black Belt grading today. The candidates will be doing whatever they're told about now...
