Could it be any warmer in Vancouver right now? Nary a snowflake to be found. The cherry blossoms are out on the trees outside the house where I am staying and people are out jogging in shorts and tanks. I've been ordered to de-lurk
I am flying to YVR in 6 hours (yes, once again I am just pulling an all-nighter b/c it is easier then making myself wake up at 4:30 a.m.) for the Olympics! This is boring
I'm at the blood clinic. Giving blood. Lots of it. I've been matched as a possible bone marrow donor and now they are running tons of tests on me to see if I am viable. Also, they want to make sure I don't have syphilis. I'm really hoping I don't have syphilis.
Other than that, this place is boring. Hopefully I'll be done soon. -
Parents. I've got 2 to give away to a good home.
So mine moved last week. After 30 years in one house they "downsized" to a new place which is 50% BIGGER than the old place. This has apparently resulted in a space crunch. Yeah, you read that correctly. My mother has mentioned that she's going to have to ship my piano to me b/c there's nowhere to put it in the new house. My house would fit in ( Read more... ) -

Who knew the Dead Sea Scrolls were so funny?
Okay, not the scrolls themselves but Omar Khayyam who wrote "The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, Moves on." There's more to that quote but what a fabulous opening sequence. Vacation and Fancy Internet Sticks
My descent into technology is complete. Last week it was an iphone, this week the internet ay my fingertips. At the cottage. In the woods by a lake. And still connected to the world. Said the sign over the door at the party last eve. As mentioned yesterday, it is Stampede here in Calgary which means fake cowboys making the moves on the fake cowgirls. And pancakes.
