Why I Love SF Fandom

I am never moving to my own fictional worlds.
After a certain author (who shall remain nameless because I am so bitter) wrote a book that had a really cool world in it, which I wanted to read about more than my own damn worlds, I realized I hadn't ever built a fictional setting simply to impress myself.
