Seeing my payment for another year of LiveJournal prompted me to come take a look around... hello? is anybody here? I'm trying to figure out how to save my entries as PDFs--I did three years worth with the free version of BlogBooker. Don't really want to pay $20 to do the rest...

Glad to see you back, and that things are looking up!

Smart plan with the boy. These next few years for teen boys can be the toughest (boy howdy do I know) and even if he's not super motivated now, it will happen. Most of his energy is going into that growth.

Re writing, let me recommend Viable Paradise. So good in so many ways, including the terrific network-bonding the students go through, cheering each other on whatever road to publication they choose.

That's a good point regarding growth/energy. It makes a lot of sense that he maybe just needs to be putting more energy into that than his friends who are still like 4'10"... I will look into Viable Paradise! Thanks for the reminder--it will go on my list :)

Hi! I'm around here less often because I've moved the actual posting over to Dreamwidth: I still cross-post to LJ, but sometimes I forget to log in! But it's lovely to hear that things are going so well for you and your family.

Hi! It's good to hear from you! I'm still not sure what to do about LJ--maybe I'll look at Dreamwidth. Obviously, I haven't been back to LJ on a regular basis since the last post... ahem. I used to mentally compose journal entries in my head all the time as I went through my day, but I've definitely lost the habit!
