He's made it clear that everything with him has to be in writing or a court order. From selling the house to paying car insurance to making sure the kids are where they need to be.

I try to remember why I married this man... the only thing I can think of is that I was A) blind and B) he wasn't this crazy back then.

I'd be willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and go with B. I really don't think he was always this crazy. And I agree... you can take NOTHING from him verbally. I wouldn't believe him if he said "good morning" if I were you!

I know you don't want to consider this, but seeing as how he is so totally cracked -- and God only knows what you haven't even heard about -- maybe going for full custody (with generous but supervised visitation) really might be the best thing for the kids. I just worry what they are learning from him, since kids will be even less willing than you are to admit that he has become a basically bad person. :-( Even if it's ultimately because he's ill or troubled, still... you know what I mean.

Either way, now that you have a decent job and know to get everything from him in writing, I have faith in you to get through this. :: hugs :: Hang in there, hon. :-)

I think he's gone mental. He seemed a perfectly normal guy when I first met him and when we had the con out there in 2001. It's like suddenly someone flipped the "asshole" switch. I've known other people this has happened to.
