More Alan tales...
In June, the balance of our car insurance came due. I was suppose to pay the final balance of $277. When I realised I would not be able to make the payment, I called Alan and asked if he would make it and I would pay him back as soon as I could. He said he would take care of it. I even called and reminded him the day it was due and he said he would take care of it.
I was very thankful that he would do such a thing and when I finally had the money at the end of July I gave him $300 (an extra $23 as part of the thanks).
I found out today after talking to my insurance agent that he never paid the $277 and the insurance has lapsed.
I called him and he claimed that he never said he would or did pay it. I asked him why he accepted the money from me then... he had no answer. I told him that this is EXACTLY why I can't trust him. A perfect example... and then I hung up.
I am LIVID that once again I've been made a fool of by him. I suspect that I've no recourse except to hold onto my receipt and hope to get it back in the end.
