[Sokka has not, in fact, seen Winry since that awkward moment under the willow tree. Until yesterday he was at the hot springs and only dropped into the smithy briefly to pick up some things (and run into Donatello). He's back at the smithy for much the same purpose. He's only here to sharpen his sword, boomerang, and some of his knives. There's no sense of reluctance about going to the battle. There's a part of him that's actually glad to be getting another chance to fight. Maybe things won't get screwed up like they did with Chopper.

In any case, he has a lot on his mind (he isn't even thinking about his birthday) and while there are more important things than being upset with Winry, he's not actually planning to say anything until tomorrow, when he makes his round of farewells.]

[Oh, Sokka. She should wish him good luck as well. The blond approaches, but doesn't get too close before speaking so she doesn't startle him.]

[Winry, you might not have ever felt better, but Haruhi still feels like a putz. Still feels... dirty and not that great. So she's still not leaving her house. To be fair, she's gotten better since your last meeting with her (she's at least getting out of her bed and trying to eat things today) but she's making no effort to leave the house, instead sitting on the couch and periodically switching between paint on her laptop, writing things in a notebook, reading some random novel, and considering putting in a movie (but then deciding against it because she only had Disney right now)

So here's hoping you visit her. She might need it.]

[You know girl, you really should be getting out of the house. And she's notice there hasn't been Brigade meetings, so she's going to check this out. Winry knocks on the door to check things out.]
