Yay! i was actually being productive these couple of days! and also for the fact that my friend, rachie241282 , needs a new header, so i decided to go ahead and scan the mags that i have just received! shall post it before i sleep! its almost 2am in my country. T_T this time NO CREDIT IS NEEDED. if you do really wanna credit, i wouldn't mind. =D usual rules

Just a word of advice, since I know a lot of people don't really have room for files THAT big:

800dpi is pushing it. Even if you DO scan in at 800dpi...resizing the file to maybe 3000px - 4000px at the tallest edge would be advised to avoid such large file sizes.

For example, everything I scan in at is 600dpi. Depending on the original size of the file (in pixels) I usually reduce it down by half. This saves on file size and also makes the image clearer.

I would love to be able to download these...but the file size is just a bit too much. :/

thanks for your advice! but, my aim is to provide HQ files. As HQ as possible. and as long as most people do not object, i will still continue to scan at 800dpi and release them at the original size. Thanks though for your advice!

I understand wanting to provide HQ scans. But...the file size is bordering on pretty much ridiculous. 800dpi, fine, but at least reduce the pixel size a bit to avoid such horrible sizes. The file size for Only Star is the size of one episode of Himitsu! Even as a graphics maker, there is no reason for file sizes so large. Everything you could need to do with them would require sizing them down. :/

It might be nice to provide smaller sizes as well.

reducing file size, will reduce the dpi too. and i am not one for compromising when it comes to quality. and usually when i scan, its because my personal friends wants it, and at that size actually. I'm sharing because since i have scanned it, its okay to share. resizing will make the image look sharper, yes, but if i did that, i could no longer say my images are at 800dpi or whichever dpi. Because quality is compromised to the size of the images.
