i had a thousand piece puzzle,
through the long night i lined them up.
painstakingly glued, at lines of weaknesses.
yet all it wanted to do, was to come apart.

now im missing a piece,
and i cant heal it.
the scar is jarring to see,
like a marred complextion.
something i cant heal.
