I'm really depressed. Somebody cheer me up...

EDIT: I guess I'm having post-graduation blues. No celebration. No after parties. It's just me. I feel like I haven't made a single lasting friendship throughout my 4 years at the Art Institute ( Read more... )

I hope whatever is wrong heads for the hills post haste. *hugs* Will be online in a little bit, if you'd like to chat. :)

In the meantime, try this:

It always seems to help a bit on bad days.

It's OK, I sort of feel the same way. I'm not really a collector of phone numbers, etc., so I have little or no contact with most of my high school or college friends outside of classes, and the occasional bumping-into.

Being the pot calling the kettle black here, and yes, easier said than done (believe me), but maybe it would be good to go out of character here and there, if you can, as much as you can (even if you have to stammer it out and look/feel ridiculous) and ask a friend or two during graduation ceremonies for a phone number or e-mail address. Hopefully it'll lead to some kind of sustained friendship or two from there. If you can't, for whatever reason (totally understandable), I suppose it's good you had such friendships while you were there, and hopefully if and when you do bump into any of them, they won't have forgotten you. :)

I wish I could be more consoling or be there for you (literally or figuratively), but I'll do what I can from where I am. Just hang in there, OK? *HUGS* :)
