Today was Mr. Fletcher's 11th birthday, so we took him out for an ice cream. He received lots of pats and compliments and was told he looked younger than 11. He was very pleased and looked quite dapper in his bowtie!

We're on our way out again (we had to come home to look up direction- ha!) but while we were at the mall just now, we ran into Rob Frey and his wife Kelli. It was so unexpected to actually see someone we knew- I didn't even recognize him at first glance. They're doing well. He's a lawyer and she is working in banking and they live in Dunn. Well, for the first real day of vacation (AKA the first day my office was open but I wasn't there), I celebrated by going to the eye doctor. Since I mailed my glasses awhile back, I really needed some new ones but I'd been putting it off. Trey's mom found this one. It's of "The Carolina Gentlemen", the band Trey's dad was in while he was in either college or law school. Trey's dad is third from the left. They apparently made some album which we might be able to get our hands on. That would be cool!
