[After getting rid of Kanaya, Karkat will quickly change his shirt, enough that the cuts and blood aren't completely visible. It's not perfect; there's still some smeared blood on his neck and it's dripping down his hand, but he's in a hurry and he doesn't care.

Getting to his feet is difficult; there's immediate pain and protest from his knee, but he's able to grab his school bag and to start throwing his things in there-- his husktop, his sickle, clothes, schoolbooks, anything in sight, still shaking and barely able put weight on his leg as he moves.]

Sit down. And erm, tell me if it hurts or you feel sick.

[He tries to think about what he's going to say, mimicing what Rory says to him, but any confidence he tries to muster up dies as the words leave his lips. They sound weak and nervous.

He grits his teeth and begins wiping up the blood and putting gauze over the cleaned ones. Some of them, he thinks, probably need stitches.]

Wow, imagine that, it does hurt! Imagine that, I feel like shit! Can you stop making that face? No one said you had to be here.

Good. Now that we've established that, shut up and let me work.

[His bandaging is pretty decent and his cleaning his thorough. But he works slowly, pausing to think if he's doing it right and clearly not a natural at this sort of thing at all.

Fine.

[As soon as he's finished, he pulls away and stiffly puts his shirt back on, covering the bandages and bruises as much as he can.]

[The Doctor stands, wiping his bloody hands on his shirt, and feeling slightly lightheaded himself due to adrenaline and nerves.]

Some might need more work. But I don't imagine you'd want me having a go at them with a needle. ...So that's what we can do for now.

No, I can handle that.

[He swallows hard, suppressing bile welling up in his throat.]

What's wrong with you? Don't wipe that on your fucking shirt. It's disgusting.

[Oh right. One of those manners things. He shrugs and takes takes the offending item and tosses down the hallway.]

Right. ...Not supposed to do that. Sorry. Amy would have hit me.

Now then, off to Sollux's?

If you don't wash that now, it's going to stain.

[He's grabbing the wall in order to pull himself to his feet, but his injured leg is shaking beneath his weight.]

Oh, well, I have plenty. Amy and River, they're always out shopping.

[And he's quickly hovering over Karkat as he tries to move.]

You should sit down. Your leg is still quite bad and it's only going to get worse if you keep running around on it.

I didn't notice there was anything wrong with it!

Too bad I don't really have a choice because I can't fucking stay here right now and none of my friends remember me except a few including Sollux.

[The Doctor sights and runs a hand down his face.]

Fine. Just sit until we get there, alright? Blimey, now I know what it's like to be Rory.

[But he sits back down, looking more sad and defensive than angry.]

...I'm sorry, Karkat.

[What else is there to say? He can't fix it, he can't comfort him, all he can do is be sorry for their situation.]
