I've never heard of such nonsense! I can understand in the past when weddings were something people were around more often, but these days that's not the norm. Until my best friend's wedding a few months ago, I hadn't been to a wedding in 7 years and I've probably only been to 3 or 4 in my whole life. I've been to lots of quinceneras, but only a few weddings.

So yeah 9 in a lifetime, the majority being cheaply done church weddings, and other than the last one I attended in 2006 they were all attended over 10years ago. Fuck all if I can remember the invitations or much else. (well with a few exceptions; my brother's 2nd wedding was pretty intimate and the ceremony was unique. I also had a friend who had a renaissance wedding at a beautiful english manor with a hedge maze that was fantastic ( ... )
