My brother was much like Peter (angry at my existing). It's great that you are well aware of what's going on. My parents were oblivious (thought I *must be* antagonizing him) and by the time we were older kids, I became his punching bag, emotionally and physically. We do get along fine as adults, fwiw.

I don't know whey she chose them out of the pack to be her babies- she still uses her baby dolls, but the bears are the favorites.

Maybe because her favorite baby cousin's nick-name is Teddy? =)
