And um, this leaves me to ask: I am going on a trip myself starting sunday and ending somewhere in APRIL, and I won't have internet for a while. Which means I'd have to take a hiatus that stretches out pver 15th March - 2-3rd April.

I'm wondering, could I decide right now what to do with Kanda, if he's dying now or later and how much he'll remember etc etc etc

I'd suggest figuring out what you wanted to do with him now, and then posting a notice in the hiatus entry. You might want to work out what Kanda will have been doing all that time.
