Oh my gosh, congrats! I'll be curious to see what you think. I'm pretty leery of the fact that Amazon can just yank your ebooks away anytime. The licensure vs. ownership debacle going on with e-journals in the library world right now makes me especially cautious about Amazon's particular form of ebook "sales".

I am leery of that too. They pretty much have an extremely broad clause that says "we can pull books at any time because of issues with content providers, nyah nyah". But now at least I can check it out for myself. I used to feel the same way about Apple and the iPod and iTunes (and to some extent, I still do, but I've accepted that this is how I'm going to get music now). "Owning" virtual/digital content centered around a propitiatory technology is becoming so commonplace, but most that I'm familiar with aren't so blatantly willing to pull content.

ETA: I think Amazon can pull ebooks and then you can't download them again, but they don't disappear from the Kindle as far as I know if you already bought them.

Oh very cool. I know very little about how it all works but you can't beat a free Kindle.
