Not too awful at all! I mean, I'm viewing that in the same vein as having 134 tabs currently open in Firefox right now - the majority of them are fics to read or comment on, or Tumblr stuffs. Some are job applications? - so I may be slightly biased. :D?
But a half-fix is always better than nothing, darling. At least until you can cobble together a full fix. *cuddles tight* You'll have your header back soon, I'm sure. In the meantime, keep on being your awesome self who MacGuyver computers back together. (No, really, I am seriously impressed by that. O.o I can't do more than poke at things and then freak. :S)
LOL, I do feel better about this, now that I know what your tab count is, bb. Thanks for sharing it. [I've been chucking the vast majority of snowflake posts and fic into p-lock caches. I've been trying to prioritize personal entries. Which mostly works, though there's still a pile of things I want to comment on.]
Job applications? Really? I thought that business had sorted itself out for you. :(
*hugs* Thank you for the sympathy and reassurances - they are very appreciated [and helpful :)]. And oh, don't be impressed with the macGyvering - it's more about the clever use of household objects than any monkeying around with computer hardware. You would laugh so much if you could see me typing away.
I'm trying to cut them down! The problem is I get...overwhelmed. :S I just need to hurry up and download Greasmonkey already. (I'm pretty sure that's the only way you can rip music from Tumblr, right?)
Well, it has, sorta, but I'm going between two places (three, if you count the Castle) for not very many hours and train fares are eating a lot of it up. /o\ Plus my dad has this thing about applying for graduate schemes, even though I never hear back. *shrugs*
That's still seriously impressive though! *shakes pompoms* And if I was laughing, it would be lovingly. ♥
I added you with my new Dreamwidth journal... I'm not actively using the site and probably won't, unless LJ goes down, but I'm backing up all my posts there and want to have as many friends as possible added in case I do need to move over.
I'm trying to be present and, oh, maybe participating in things. For example, I'm giving no_tags the eye. I've been writing 1000 - 1500 words a day for the last three/four days, so am feeling confident about pulling something together. Oh, I also printed up your Pete/Mikey/Alicia fic - I'm very much looking forward to the read.
I really am trying to be here, though I'm mostly playing catch-up [and setting everyone's year-end round-ups to one side, for appropriate savoring levels]. Last year was crap for fannish/ general online participation for me, and I really want to change that. I'm eyeing no_tags actually - I've been writing daily, hitting 1000+ word counts, so a 1000 word fic in a week feels very doable.
I printed out your Pete/Mikey/Alicia story and am very much looking forward to reading it. :D
