Much like a puppy, I'm rolling around in the live Muse album. Its drums are so fierce, the lyrics and guitar so strong... well, it wipes out all other more subtle scents.

This is a perfect musical choice for early Fall.

I've always felt that this time of year requires pomp and drama. After all, ghosts and beloved spirits are just due their annual ( Read more... )

That's *exactly* what I'm saying. I'm finding the live drums especially tasty.

Teeny tangent: I remained surprised -startled might be a better word- by appearances vs. sound. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but Muse really doesn't look the way they sound.

I missed reading entries like that babe. I've told you before I could read you all day, right? ♥

I miss writing entries like this! I'm trying to get back into the habit of it. Hopefully fall will continue to inspire.

I've told you before I could read you all day, right? You have! I don't think one can give a wirter a bigger compliment - thank you, honey. *tacklehugs* And I always think of you when typing 'em up. :)

Lots and lots of ♥

A friend tried to get me into Muse but it was too much... symphonic rock? and too little... punk? for me. But apart from the Muse bit this is a wonderful post. Such fabulous imagery!

See, the blend of punk and rock opera is what appeals to me. I feel like Muse is nicely compatible with MCR - there's edginess, pomp and theatrics, all wrapped around solid musicianship in both bands that I love. Right now, I'm really focused on Muse's live show, especially the drumming. So tasty! Uh...for my tastebuds anyway. :D

Muse aside - thank you. :) My internal seasonal compass has officially shifted over to Fall, and, despite hating the cold, I LOVE the shifting seasons so much.

Rock opera, yeah "operatic" is a good word for the thing I don't like in Muse's music and parts of The Black Parade and explains why Revenge is my favourite MCR album.

When I think rock opera, I think of Queen. And I admit that there are parts of The Black Parade that I find silly to the point of facepalming... but it's still my favorite album. [Though it only edges out Revenge by a teeny bit.]

Oh, how I love Muse. I've had HAARP in my cd changer in the car.

My current Muse-on-vicious-repeat is totally your fault. :) Ever since you and I talked about them, they've been my comfort music o' choice. This week I'm just rejoicing and loving rock operatics. So, thanks.

I will happily take the blame for it. They make me feel like flying, which probably isn't a good thing when I'm driving but it makes me happy.
