WOW.

You got EVERYONE in on the action here, all 4 'family members' and it makes for a very whole, solid piece, the way they touch one another. Johns sorrow bleeds through so wonderfully in the despair of thee lines, those thoughts. And the simple observations of his boys and how they relate to him, what he can count on them for...EH. I just LOVE you and the snippets you create. I'll stop rambling now. ♥!

Oh, you can ramble as much as you want at me, sunshine. :D

And *thank you*! Your opinion on all things SPN [and many, many other things too, of course :D] is something I hold in high regard; your comment reassures me that I did actually get it right. *glomps*

I hadn't really thought about the fact that I'd gotten the entire family in here - but the Impala *has* been in most of the SPN poems I've written so far. In a way, it's the physical manifestation of experiences/history binding the Winchesters together... a concrete piece of John's legacy to his boys.

I really should just go write that car a love sonnet. :D

♥! for days!

wishing
he could bring
clear lines of sight
elsewhere with such ease.

bingo! and the last part shows so well the deep connection between John and Dean...

the winchester men, all 3 of them, wrapped in wonderful imagery. this is LOVE. and impala love too, of course ;)

Oh YAY! It's my pleasure, of course. :)I'm so psyched that you liked this... it's not the most *cheerful* of pressies, but the images felt right. And I really did get caught up with the idea of spirit photography [as it was for *you* :)] and the things we can/cannot see.

*twirls you*
Belated but happy birthday, darling! The love on this is is equally great.

Awww...I dig that poem *smiles*

You know, reading this:
Hand
palm flat
against curved glass.

I first thought about a drink, or a bottle, but then the whole poem sort of unfolded itself from the back, which is cool.
And god, I love the last lines; Sam's and Dean's relationship to John in a nutshell.

Lovely work, hon! *hugs*

Thank you sweets!
*hugs back*

The original snapshot I got about this had John watching them from outside a hotel room; this seemed like a better encapsulation though. And it included the Impala, which is always a plus. :) I can totally see how it reads like a bottle, too [the first kind I thought of was one of those thick-glass coke bottles].

Thank you for commenting!
