Michael Joyal’s year-long art odyssey has come to an end.

I think the author of the article put a spin on it suggesting that "normal" peeps shouldn't look to Art as an easy career... cuz it certainly isn't! :) He probably wouldn't have picked that word himself, I think the article author was just trying to be wordy LOL At least that's how I read it.

lol, that's an awesome bit of perspective. Granted, he's probably not a commercial artist and doing this in his spare time while working another job.

The same might be said for NaNoWriMo - watching some of the authors I have friended on LJ, some of them, when they're writing a first draft, are doing 3000+ words a day, while we call the 1667 words a day for nanowrimo gruelling. But hey, if I didn't have to work in november, I could probably do 3000+ words a day too.

Someday.... *crosses fingers*

I thought of my NaNo friends too, lol. I write for a living, and 4000 words is an "average" day for me (on my clients' stuff - not counting my own blog or other projects). But I'd be hard-pressed to turn out a drawing a day for a year straight, so I suppose it's a matter of perspective. :)
