As for editing, it's a good idea to price necessary services so that you'll know how to set your budget. There's a lot of variation online. For reference, my base price is $500 for books; for shorter works there are other options. If you look around, you can find other freelance editors with prices posted, and see who seems promising for your project.

And thank you for the link. I'll read it thoroughly. In all my past research before I started the campaign, the price quotes were averaging between $500 and $700, so I'm just assuming the high end. Multiple edits tend to cost more, right? So just figure in for that?

I've seen higher, but almost nothing lower.

Depends on the editor. Some include multiple rounds; most don't. I start with a detailed first perusal, then if there are issues to discuss, one more round of touch-ups, as part of my basic price. More than that would cost extra. I may adjust the base rate up or down if a given manuscript is extra rough or extra clean.
