But it was not only Gray that came. From the garden area, and headed towards him in a slow, careful step, was a mighty white horse, stopping some 40 feet away from Lou, head bowing a bit, revealing a half a meter long, very sharp looking horn. The beast bore many scars, eyes gleaming softly in the light. It was not only a horse. It was a unicorn.

The unicorn pawed the ground, tail swishing and it tossed its head before suddenly charging Lou, mighty hover thundering, sharp horn directed straight at him in a speed way greater then any horse. Its ears were laid flat upon its head, and teeth was bared, as if it wanted to tear the man's flesh from his body.

Lou stared, thunderstruck, at the oncoming animal for a second or two, his brain barely able to take in what he was seeing, much less form a rational response. Some part of his mind, saturated with 1980s marketing and TV shows, couldn't help but see this deadly animal as a huge, enraged My Little Pony. "Woah, there, Apple...berry...sparkle," he shouted, his eyes wide with astonishment. He tried to get to his feet, but lost his footing on the rain-soaked grass he had built this part of his shelter over and toppled over backwards with a resounding thump.

As the beast bore down on him, he scrambled towards the helicopter, hoping to find some cover behind the ruined machine where it couldn't charge at him quite so easily.

The angry beasts horn dug into the ground where Lou had been only moments before, stopping it momenterly. It raised its head and neighed, tossing its head and snapping the air, it whirled around, smacking massive hooves into the wreakage of the helicopter, leaving dents and making it rattle dangerously as it kicked again in rage, a sound emitting from it like a cross between a scream and a roar, eyes rolling in its head.

"What the FUCK," Lou shouted in alarm. What in the world had he done to piss this thing off so bad? He distantly remembered being warned about these things around the time he arrived, but had never taken it very seriously until just now.

He groped about blindly with his hands, looking for something he might use as a weapon, and in a moment, his right hand closed upon a broken section of one of the blades from the rotor. It was about ten feet long, and though it wasn't sharp by any means, it was tough, heavy, and above all else, LONG. He grasped it in both hands and hefted the three hundred pound lump of broken metal as he struggled to his feet, backing up as he did so. Unfortunately for him, the close quarters he had chosen in order to protect himself from the unicorn's attack was also protecting it from his; there was simply no room to get a good swing with it. The best he could do was to thrust it forwards, like a clumsy spear, and hope he could give it a hefty poke that might get it re-thinking this attack.
