Lou ducked out of the meeting as the conversation turned towards discussions of getting the pilot to drink dracula blood, and whether it was better to do so hot or cold. There was basically nothing he didn't find creepy and skin-crawling about the entire conversation, and really, really didn't want to be there to listen to it play out or see anything that might follow from it, and so he made his rapid exit from the room, ducking down to avoid striking his head on the door frame.
Of the many things he disliked about being here in the castle, the fact that it was centuries old and built for people about a foot and a half shorter than he was had to be one of the top five. He felt like he was trapped in the world's most banal and oppresive children's theme park.
He wanted to have a look at this crashed helicopter and see if there was anything he could salvage, or maybe get the whirly-bird flying again so that he might be able to get out of here. Looking out the window, though, at the chilly, rainy landscape outside, the notion of retreating back to the nice comfortable hotel room he had in the future and ordering up some future-porn began to seem like a much more inviting prospect.
Torn between the prospect of doing some actual work and maybe getting a working vehicle to take him away from this crazy castle and the prospect of beating off to space-porn while pretending the problem didn't exist, he stood by the window, gloomily watching the rain fall, paralyzed by laziness and indecision.
