“Right, then!” Jack smiled, deciding it was time to move the meeting on. “Agenda point number 4: useful equipment. We’ve already dealt with the lab under the grotto, so we won’t go into that again. What about our own electronics, though - anything we brought with us here? For example, I have a wrist computer, which still retains some useful functions, though nothing like it used to.” He held up his left wrist, pushing back his coat sleeve to display his wriststrap.

“And Dairine over there has her sentient laptop, Spot, who has come in very useful. Has anyone else got anything else with them that might be useful for our investigations, and that they’re willing to share? Or has anyone spotted anything else anywhere here that might be useful?”

Damon glared at John for a moment before he began to laugh. "Right, you think I just let that thing out?" He leaned in some, "let me tell you someone, everyone that went down into that lab that day did. What would you do if you saw some innocent dog locked in a cage and begging to get out? The thing seemed beyond harmless." At least to everyone but Damon who could smell the rotting disease on the thing. "So yes, I did let it out, it was everyone's fault who went down there." He then pointed to Loke, "that one there promised he'd look after the dog and take care of it if we let it out."

“A laser is a very fine beam of light that can be used as a tool or as a weapon,” Jack told Morgana, trying not to think about some of the uses the Master had found for laser beams during the year he’d held him captive

Marco felt the pull, but he did not have enough human in him for to be influenced by Zebediah. He gave him a long look, searching him over, before turning his attention to the others again. After all, Zebediah might not be able to influence him, but his idea was not to bad still. "Checking it out, yes. raiding, no. We ask, don't steal. Wiping their time line or not, we are not here to waltz over other humans just because some of us think we are better." he said almost sharply. Rather amusing seeing how small he was.

“I’ve already tried asking, several times,” Jack told Marco. “And they’re really not willing to part with their technology for the asking. We want stuff, we’re going to have to take it. And to be fair, if this whole place is a construct, then we’re only moving stuff about within the construct, not actually removing it. Since we can’t, because somebody trapped us here!”

"I'm all for trying to take some of their stuff, I'm sure I could find ways to get it," Damon smirked. He wasn't sure how his compulsion would work with the future poeple, but he didn't mind trying it out. Besides that, he could just kill them, it's been awhile since he has.

Jack glanced at Damon, remembering Damon's particular persuasive quality. "Yeah, you could come in useful," he mused. "Well, once you're done with the lab and know more about what equipment we have available there, how about - say - you, Lou, Billy and Mr Purple over there head off to the future and take a look at what's available there?"
