Eric frowned a bit, not all that happy to be forced to help. "Depends on what you need." he said with a frown.

"Well, first things first," Lou shouted over his shoulders. "Gonna need some beer and corn nuts. I work better on a full stomach and, like, a bit of a buzz going, you know what I mean?" He was at this point opening drawers and boxes, wherever they didn't look too badly damaged, and dumping their contents in a pile in the middle of the room. "Or, like, any snack food. I ain't picky. Just nothin' with cheese, okay? It gives me gas, and I figure I'm gonna be stuck in this room for a bit, and nobody wants to deal with that, right?"

He surveyed what meager supplies he had managed to salvage so far with some dis-satisfaction. "A tool box would be good, too. I ain't got much to work with here. After that? I'd say bring a car around here so I can strip down its engine and electrics for parts. That'd be good. And, like maybe go to one of those cottages and yank all the cables out of the walls. Fusebox, too. I'm gonna need a whole lot of crap here."

"I don't know what any of those things are." Eric stated in matter-o-factly. he had stopped bothering about technology in general, and he had never touched a toolbox since he had been a human. He could bring a car, but he did not like driving slow ones and there was no way he was letting this man strip off one of the Ferraris. "Nor do I know where these is Beer or corn nuts. I don't eat human food." he shrugged. "So I never bothered to look where it was. "

(ooc: Sorry for crappy tag. My head is just blown with rl drama)

Lou stared at him for a few long moments, and was about to launch into an insulting tirade about his intellect when he stopped himself. This guy was obviously some kind of foreigner, from the way he talked and stuff. You couldn't expect him to know about stuff Americans knew about. Foreigners were stupid. If they weren't, they wouldn't BE foreigners. They'd live in America. This guy probably grew up in an igloo or something.

He fished out the cell phone he'd been given when he arrived, and waved it at Eric. "Okay, what about this thing? You know what this is, right?" He held it up to his ear, staring widely at Eric. "Ring, ring! Helloooo~!" he said, sing-song style. "You got one too, right? Maybe you can call someone who does know about normal stuff like that?"

(ooc: I didn't know if I should make a new post or just continue here.)

After River got Lou's last transmission, she found the garage and took rather a bit more time than she'd admit admiring the gorgeous cars, before choosing the Aston Martin. It was so rare that she got to drive any car, let alone a classic mid-20th century one, that she quite delighted in it.

She found a tool box in the garage, along with some unused power cables and loaded them into the trunk of the car, before driving around the grounds of the castle until she found the power station. She parked and hefted the cables over her shoulder, before grabbing the toolbox.

She gave Lou a smile and set everything down in front of the mess of melted wires and blown fuse boxes, "Right. Let's see what we can do with this."

"Alright, awesome," Lous said, smiling. He put down the handmade, handheld video game console he had been playing on for the past hour and a half - an incomprehensible jumble of plastic casings, wires and doo-dads assembled without rhyme or reason but which evidently was entirely functional. He then picked himself up from the ground, standing up to his full seven foot height, and stretched. "I was wonderin' when you were gonna show up. This place is kinda creepy at night, especially when the only light I gots is comin' from my little screen over there," he gestured towards the device he had just set down.

He walked towards her, an ungainly mobile mountain of muscularity, and extended one giant hand towards her for a handshake. "Nice to finally meet you."

When Lou stood up, she eyed the video game console curiously. It looked very rudimentary, but it was clever. If he'd built it, he was clearly good with electronics.

She nodded when he mentioned the creepiness, though she'd been in far worse places. "I hear there are wild unicorns," she told him, unable to completely keep a straight face at that. "Apparently they're vicious." That was what Ben had told her, at least. Though she knew him by Henry; the fake name he'd given her.

"Likewise," River smiled back, when he told her it was nice to meet her. "I've barely met anyone so far." She shook his hand, looking neither intimidated or surprised by his size.

"Yeah, I dunno if you should hold your breath on meetin' anyone much else." He released her hand and walked over to the burnt mass of the castle ground's transformer. "The guy who showed me this place, this weirdo furry dude named Eric, tells me there's only about ten people here." He held up his two hands in front of him, and counted off on his fingers. "Me, you, Eric, that Dorian guy I talked to on that phone..." He held up four fingers on one hand and then unfolded the remaining ones. "Only a half dozen other folks? Seems like in a place this big, you could go for days without seein' them." He shrugged unhappily. "Guess that's why only two people even answered my call. Not a lot of other folks even around to care about power and water ( ... )
