Lou surveyed the burnt and ruined remains of the electrical system with a certain amount of distaste. For one thing, it was going to take some work to get this thing running again.  For another, it looked like he was going to be the one to do it. This "free helicopter ride" was turning out to be a lot more work than he'd had in mind, especially given that "no work at all" was usually about his optimal level of effort. He began to wonder if this labour was the price of admission. If so, it was a pretty crappy deal, if anyone asked him. Which, apparently, nobody was.

This Eric guy he'd met certainly didn't seem to sympathetic to Lou's plight, but that wasn't all that shocking. Between his fangs and his long hair, it was obvious what he was: He was some kind of body modification freak. Probably had all sorts of tattoos and piercings and god only knew what else under those clothes. Lou had dealt with a lot of flakes in his time, and had built up a certain amount of tolerance to weirdos like that, but he also knew they tended to be pretty self-absorbed. This Eric guy didn't do a whole lot to show he didn't fit that stereotype.

"Okay. Wow." he said. "This is a pretty big pile of crap. Half of it's probably just garbage at this point, and the rest of it looks like it's probably about fifty years old or something. I'm gonna need some supplies if I'm gonna do anything with this mess. You think you can get me some stuff I'll need while I start taking this stuff apart?" He reached up to the wall and grasped a thick, burnt and melted cable in one hand and yanked it off of the wall in a single heave, before tossing it the ground behind him.
